Interior fun!

Happy Sunday everyone!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend!! I hope it was restful yet exciting, and I hope you are ready to take on another week!

Today I want to talk a little bit about my love for home design! For as long as I can remember I have always loved watching HGTV! Every show intrigued me, whether it be about designing a home, room, or yard! A few of my favorites are Property Brother's, Flip or Flop, and Fixer Upper! I've watched episodes that had the professionals do the project and the ones that were do it yourself!! I love everything about interior design, I love that everyone can make their space their own!

While in high school I took two interior design classes that they offered! I knew I would really enjoy the class and I definitely did! We used a CAD program which I loved! I pushed myself to learn new things that the program could do! We designed rooms and houses, got to pick the paint color, furniture, materials, accent pieces and anything else you could imagine! For a few years I wanted to become an interior designer, but instead I decided I would only do it for fun!

For those who enjoy designing different interiors, I have just recently found an app that is soooo much fun to use! The app is called a Design Home! The app allows you to buy different pieces of furniture and decor to decorate rooms based on different client requirements! Once you have completed a room with all of the requirements you are given money to keep designing! Your design is then entered into a poll where different people rate your room! You are able to earn prizes for your high ratings!

I highly recommend the app to anyone looking to fulfill their interior design passion! It's easy, super fun, and kind of addicting!!

I love that when you step into someone's space you are able to learn so much about them just by looking at their decor! You are able to see by their furniture if they are laid back or if they are detail oriented! You can tell their personality by their color choices! Every space is different and everyone's personality is able to shine through. Interior design gives everyone the chance to be themselves, which is what I love about it!

If you have a chance take some time to relax and watch a little HGTV and have some fun on the Design Home app, you won't be disappointed!!!

Until next time!!! ☺

Girls best friend!

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope everyone had a safe and fun St. Patrick's day! I have to say I love how everyone comes together and embraces their Irish heritage, and even those who don't have any! 😂☘️I love that holidays can bring all people together and share in some fun!

So for this post I wanted to talk about my little pup! She is a 5 year old Carine Terrier (yes a toto dog!!) and her name is Piper! I have had Piper for 4 years and she is by far the greatest gift I've ever gotten! Anyone who has a dog or any pet really, understands the love and bond you create!

I am a firm believer in rescuing animals from a shelter rather than a breeder or any other way. We got my dog Piper from a shelter and it was the best feeling to take her out of there. Seeing all of the dogs within the shelter broke my heart (and to this day still does!) and it definitely makes you want to take every one of them home! As soon as I saw my little crazy haired pup I knew she was the one for me! The instant I saw her and she licked my finger, I knew that her home would soon be with me! I immediately started crying when they said I could take her home! I always wanted a dog and I finally had a little pup to love and take care of!

When people say a dog is mans best friend they aren't kidding! There is nothing better than coming home to a wagging tail and wet nose kisses! No matter what kind of day I have, how long I've been gone, or how I'm feeling she is always there! The love and comfort a dog can give you is the most amazing thing!

Piper is no doubt a spoiled pup but I wouldn't have it any other way! Whenever I tell people her name they often mistake what I'm saying and ask if her name is Hyper! Noooo that's not her name but she sure can be! She loves attention and will demand it when she wants! She is the best snuggle bug a person can have, and loves to be right by your side any other time! She is in LOVE with peanut and cheese ( I mean who isn't? haha!) And I have to admit she will even let me dress her up on occasions!  She is truly the cutest ,most amazing pup ever and I love her so much!! ❤

I often see the quote "who rescued who?" and I absolutely love it, because yes I rescued her but I would say in some ways she has done the same for me! A dog is truly the greatest companion! The love and comfort they give is something I hope everyone can experience! She has my heart, and always will! As I wrap up this post I want to encourage everyone to adopt not shop! Rescuing an animal is an amazing feeling and you can truly change their life, I know Piper has changed mine!

Until next time!!

Artist for a day!

And I'm back!! So after (well okay, kind of during!) my first blog post I decided that I definitely wanted make another post! I really enjoyed being able to write about things that I do and that interest me! Again I'm still new to this blogging world so I'm learning with each post I make! (But maybe there isn't much to learn, who knows!)  I definitely think "blogging newbie" was a perfect name for my blog!

Some expectations for my post and future posts are to share my stories, interests, hobbies and much more! Being able to share what I've done, have done or may do can give people an insight to who I am! Maybe through sharing my experiences, likes, dislikes people will be able to relate, or find out something new!

I mentioned in my last post that I took up crocheting! I was able to pick it up fast which was great but boy is it a process! I am currently making a blanket and right now I feel like it's going to take me an eternity to finish it! I'm making a nice big blanket, one that you can cozy up with and enjoy nice cup of hot chocolate! Well right now it looks like a wide scarf (only like 8 inches wide!) I've been working on it for like 3-4 months! I knew that a blanket would take longer but at this rate who knows when I'll be done?!?

I am really into arts and crafts! Every since I was little I've like to do anything that involves arts and crafts! When I was little I use to draw or color everything in sight (and I do mean everything...I hate to say it but I once drew a picture of who knows what on one of the doors in my house! Needless to say I was in trouble! Haha!)

A year ago I made my sister and I each a tutu to wear on St. Patrick's day so we could be all festive! I bought ribbon, and 3 different color tulle! You didn't need many things but a ruler and scissors came in handy! It was a very easy process, relatively cheap and not to mention super cute! You can make a tutu for any occasion and I'm sure everyone would love it!

Just recently I made a St.Patricks day wreath for my aunt! You might have heard of the new thing where people are making burlap wreaths well I did just that but instead used mesh! It was soooo fun to make! I got myself a hot glue gun and added some decorations to spruces it up and I love it! (Side note- I've never realized how fun it is to use a hot glue gun! The kid in me wished I  could start glueing everything together, but I controlled myself!!) I have to say I am extremely proud of the outcome! I'm already looking forward to the next wreath I can make someone!!

Arts and crafts are such a great pass time! I feel everyone should try a new craft or project no matter how young or old they are! You don't have to be artistic to start a project or make something! Your creativity will shine through even when you don't think it will! Be proud of what you do even if it doesn't look quite how you wanted it to! Each project is a time for you to learn, and grow!

Until next time!!

Blogging newbie!!

Hello blogging world!!

So this is my first blog post EVER, so please bare with me! I am not 100% sure how this is suppose to work or flow but I'm going to try my best!

First let me start off by telling you a little bit about myself! I am 20 years old and I live in a town about 15 minutes away from Cleveland. I am currently enrolled in a community college where I am completing my associate of applied science degree! I am looking to become a children's school counselor or a grief counselor. I know...whenever I say that a lot of people's reaction is "wow that's a sad job", and yes it may be but I look at it a little differently. I look at it as being able to help those in need overcome what could be the most difficult time in their life. I think using my experiences (I'm sure I'll touch upon that at some point) to help others is one of my purposes in life!

My family means the world to me! No matter what I want to spend every moment with them! I have one dog whom I love with all of my heart! She is one spoiled little pup and I wouldn't  change that at all! In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, shopping and just recently I've picked up crocheting!Crocheting is a great way to relieve stress and is very relaxing, its also a lot of fun. (right now I'm in the process of making a blanket!)

I absolutely love county music! Tim McGraw is my all time favorite! I've been to one of his concerts and it was one of the best experiences ever! My favorite colors are pink, purple and teal (haha I am not able to just pick one!) My go to television show to watch is Grey's Anatomy (😍)! My oh my does that show have me hooked or what?! It's emotional, tear jerking, and amazing all wrapped up into one show!

I am a kind of person who sees the glass as half full! I am a firm believer in togetherness! I want everyone to feel loved and respected! We are all so unique which is the amazing part of life!

(Also a little side note for all of you...you will notice I use A LOT of explanation points when I write! I always have and probably always will! It's just what I do!)

Hopefully throughout my blogging journey I can share more of thoughts, experiences, adventures and interests with my readers! Well I think that's enough about me for one post! While I finish up this first post of mine I am already looking forward to my next! I'm hoping to be able to learn more about how having and maintaining a blog really works. I will continue to share more things about myself and the things I come to realize! I'm looking forward to this blogging journey!

 Until the next time! :)
